Is This Trip for You? The Ramadan is the holiest month for Muslims worldwide. Some festivities may disrupt transportation, and some cafes and restaurants may not be available during daylight hours. Please check your travel plans accordingly. In Morocco, tipping is customary and expected by service providers. Your tour guide can advise on appropriate tipping amounts, but ultimately, it’s up to you and your group. While the camel tour through the Sahara is a highlight for many, if you’re uncomfortable riding a camel, you can walk alongside the caravan (approximately 1 hour). You’ll need to walk back the same route the next morning, but it’s a pleasant and relatively easy stroll. For the hike to Aroumd, be prepared for a slightly more challenging trek, including rocky, steep steps. Comfortable hiking shoes are necessary. You can also opt to rent a mule to ride up if you prefer a more leisurely ascent. Keep in mind that you can only bring a small piece of hand luggage to the village. Although aggressive sales techniques are not common in Morocco, you may be approached by shop owners and street vendors offering their goods. Moroccan weather can be extreme, especially for those unaccustomed to heat. Consider the season you prefer to travel in. If visiting during warmer months, pack clothing for sun protection and don’t forget sunscreen. Stay hydrated, especially in the desert, and pack some warmer clothing for cooler nights. While we carefully select our accommodations to reflect the Intrepid style, please note that service and accommodations may differ from Western standards.

Experience the magic of Morocco with our expertly crafted tour, designed to immerse you in the heart of this enchanting country. Explore, discover, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
