Overview

Experience the best of both worlds with our three-week guided itinerary across the North and South Islands of New Zealand. From stunning beaches to glacier-fed lakes, Māori cultural nights to adrenaline-pumping adventures, this tour has it all!

Starting on the North Island, you’ll discover the idyllic Coromandel Peninsula, where you can relax in hot pools on the beach and explore geothermal wonders. Dive into Middle Earth-esque landscapes, venture into glow worm-lit caves, and witness the beauty of lush rainforests and volcanic deserts.

But the adventure doesn’t end there! Sail to the South Island and immerse yourself in marine wildlife, thrill-seeking activities, and breathtaking scenery. Visit the home of bungy jumping, traverse mountain passes, explore glacier country, and create lasting memories in Abel Tasman National Park.

Throughout the journey, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in must-do experiences, including a Māori cultural night, waka paddling, and greenstone carving. Plus, choose from a wide range of optional activities like bungy jumping, dolphin encounters, and scenic flights to tailor your adventure to your preferences.

Accommodation is included for the last night of your tour, with options to extend your stay if desired. Activities can be booked on the road, but we recommend pre-booking to secure availability. Consider booking accommodation in Auckland the night before the tour for a stress-free start.

Upgrade to a private room for added comfort during your tour, and note that group composition may change at different hubs throughout the journey. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable adventure through the heart of New Zealand!

From Auckland to Coromandel, our journey kicks off with breathtaking scenery leading us to the laid-back vibes of the Coromandel Peninsula.

Next stop, Rotorua! Explore the iconic Cathedral Cove by foot or kayak, then venture to the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua via Matamata, home of Hobbiton.

In Rotorua, immerse yourself in the unique geothermal wonders and Māori culture. Visit a living Māori village and experience the rich traditions firsthand.

Onwards to Taupō, where skydiving, sailing, and bungy jumping await. Choose your adventure or simply relax by the serene lake.

Another day in Taupō means more opportunities for adventure. Take a guided walk of the Tongariro Crossing or soak in a thermal hot spring.

Departing Taupō, we journey across a volcanic plateau to Wellington, where film buffs can explore Weta Workshop and everyone can enjoy the vibrant food and drink scene.

From Wellington, we embark on a scenic ferry journey to Kaikōura, renowned for its marine wildlife encounters.

Continuing our coastal journey, we head to Christchurch, stopping along the way to witness playful dolphins and majestic whales.

Next up, the MacKenzie Country awaits with its turquoise lakes and starry skies, offering a truly enchanting experience.

In Queenstown, the adventure capital, adrenaline awaits! Try bungy jumping, jet boating, or embark on a day trip to Milford Sound.

Wanaka beckons with its towering peaks and tranquil lake, perfect for outdoor adventures or simply soaking in the stunning scenery.

Journeying to Franz Josef, marvel at the glacial landscapes and perhaps take a helicopter ride for a hike on blue ice.

Punakaiki offers coastal wonders, from impressive rock formations to mesmerizing blowholes.

In Abel Tasman National Park, kayak along pristine coastline and discover secluded beaches teeming with wildlife.

As our adventure draws to a close, we learn to paddle a Māori war canoe before sailing to Wellington via a vineyard stop in Picton.

This three-week itinerary promises an unforgettable journey through the diverse landscapes and cultural highlights of New Zealand.
