8-Day Itinerary: Finland’s Northern Magic – Winter Wonderland in Lapland

  • Day 1: Arrival Kittilä – Transfer to Levi
    • Arrive at Kittilä Airport in wintery Finnish Lapland.
    • Take an organized group transfer directly to your hotel in the resort of Levi.
    • Spend the rest of the day at your leisure exploring the snowy landscape located more than 175 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle.
    • Overnight stay at Hotel Levi Panorama (or similar).

  • Day 2: Levi – Reindeer Safari – Tornio/Haparanda
    • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before traveling south to a traditional reindeer farm deep in the Lapland wilderness.
    • Meet the herders, learn about life with the reindeer, and practice throwing a traditional “Suopunki” lasso.
    • Embark on a peaceful 1.5 km reindeer sleigh ride through the quiet winter woods.
    • Warm up with hot coffee and sweet pastries inside a cozy, traditional Lappish tipi.
    • Transfer further south to the border towns of Tornio/Haparanda for your overnight stay.

    • Continue to Rovaniemi, the official capital of Lapland.

    • Drive back north through the snowy forests to return to the ski resort of Levi.

  • Day 8: Departure from Kittilä

Pulled by a snowmobile and wrapped up warmly in provided thermal gear, a brief 10-minute crossing brings you to a small island hosting a traditional wooden Kota hut.
