Nowhere else in the world will you find such a remarkable variety of landscapes as on New Zealand’s North and South Islands. Explore green fields and meadows, rainforests, long sandy beaches and natural hot springs by e-bike, and cross spectacular bridges surrounded by rugged, snow-capped mountains.

Character of the Cycling Stages

In New Zealand, most cycling takes place on paved or gravel roads. Whenever possible, especially in the national parks, the route follows smaller cycling paths surrounded by nature.

The cycling stages are generally gently rolling, while major changes in altitude are covered by vehicle rather than by bike. Traffic is usually light, particularly in rural areas, although you may occasionally encounter a milk tanker.

For reasonably experienced cyclists, this tour is comfortably manageable.
